Microsoft past Hotmail wederom aan

The Inquirer stelt ons ervan op de hoogte dat Microsoft alweer een nieuwe zet heeft gedaan die Hotmail minder aantrekkelijk maakt. Al eerder werd het lezen van POP-mail van gratis naar betaald omgezet en paste Microsoft de privacy-instellingen aan. Nu is er een nieuwe beperking toegevoegd, namelijk dat berichten in de "sent messages"-map automatisch na een maand verwijderd worden. Volgens The Inquirer wijst alles erop dat Microsoft Hotmail een steeds lastiger geval begint te vinden en daarom graag zoveel mogelijk niet-betalende gebruikers kwijt wil:
UK users of Microsoft's tres populaire email package Hotmail were notified of changes to their accounts which indicate to us that the Redmond firm would dearly love to be rid of what's turned into a troublesome albatross for the firm. The latest emissive, combined with charges for POP mail, spam filters, and charging for notoriously expensive storage, indicates to one user at least that Microsoft would like it's non paying customers to exeunt, stage left, with a bear.
