Reuters komt vandaag met een opmerkelijk berichtje: Britse onderzoekers hebben een technologie ontwikkeld waarmee mobiele telefoons zo klein worden dat ze in een tand geïntegreerd kunnen worden. De 'tooth phone' bestaat uit een mini radio-ontvanger en een kleine vibrator, die via bottrillingen geluid naar het oor kan sturen. Het enige wat nu nog ontbreekt is een chip, maar die zijn al klein genoeg om ook geïntegreerd te worden. Een volledig werkende tandtelefoon is dus al meer werkelijkheid dan fictie:
